Portner is delighted to have been recognised as a certified member of The Law Society’s ‘Excellence in legal practice management and client care’ scheme (Lexcel).

Lexcel is the Law Society’s quality mark for client care, compliance and practice management, and only 16% of solicitors have managed to achieve this accreditation

It gives clients the reassurance that the firm is efficiently run, with high levels of performance in areas such as client care, risk management, people management and financial management.

A survey by Sir Stephen Lander, the Law Society’s first-ever former independent commissioner, found that:

  • 81% of Lexcel accredited firms had benefited from improved client care and client satisfaction
  • 78% of firms said Lexcel was an important risk management tool
  • 71% of firms indicated that Lexcel accreditation helps provide consistently high levels of service

Partner Daniel Broughton said: “I am delighted that Portner has satisfied Lexcel’s stringent requirements and achieved Lexcel accreditation. It shows that the firm is dedicated to offering our clients the best possible service, looking after our people and managing the firm efficiently and professionally.”
