Paralegal and PA to Karen South, Louise Axon, ran the London Marathon in October for Portner’s community charity partner Vision Foundation. Below, Louise describes the day and her motivation for running for Vision Foundation.

“I was given the amazing opportunity to raise funds for Vision Foundation while doing what I love, running. Running is my happy place, and I had the opportunity to use some of my happy place to bring happiness to others and to raise awareness and funds for a very worthy cause.

“I have run many marathons and participated in various events, but my experience running for Vision Foundation in the London Marathon was by far the most memorable event for me. The support I received from Vision Foundation from the day I signed up for the race to the moment I crossed the finishing line was incredible.

“Vision Foundation does amazing work for the visually impaired, and I was inspired by the dedication and commitment of their team. I will definitely run the London Marathon again for Vision Foundation and raise funds for this worthy charity.”
